Subvert the traditional barrel-making process and guide the industry to a green future

China's traditional barrel-making equipment and processes are subject to the monopoly of foreign technology and have not been innovatively developed. Low efficiency and poor stability have been problems that have been plagued for many years. In order to change the status quo, New Green actively develops technology and process cooperation with leading barrel-making equipment companies in Europe and the United States, and jointly develops and discusses intelligent manufacturing in the vat industry, digital factory construction, etc., and signs a strategic cooperation agreement with the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University in order to seek the best solutions in all aspects such as process materials and cooperate with customers to complete the revolution of Industry 4.0.


The first generation of traditional barrel-making equipment is horizontal. As the name suggests, the horizontal equipment is the process of lying the barrel. The process of flanging, bulging, corrugation, rolling and conveying is all lying on the barrel. There are many Problems and disadvantages:

1. The speed is slow, the efficiency is low, and the general production speed is only 4-6 pieces per minute.

2. The body of the barrel is easily abraded and scratched during the transportation process.

3. Easy to be polluted, dust and garbage are left in the barrel.

4. The chain stepping conveying efficiency is low, and there are actions such as lifting during the process action, which are easy to cause jams and dents.

In order to improve these problems, the second generation of vertical barrel-making equipment appeared in the 1990s. When working, the whole body is standing, including all forming, rolling and conveying stations, and the efficiency can reach 8-10 pieces per minute. However, there is a common problem between the two, that is, the power source is all hydraulic action. In the process of expansion, corrugation, and necking, the mold is formed by roll forming, which has the following shortcomings:

1. The surface of the barrel is easy to crush and roll, resulting in scratches and burrs.

2. The mold life is short, easy to wear, and some cracks appear.

3. The inner surface of the steel drum is easy to scratch, causing complaints about the cleanliness of the drum.

4. The rolling surface is prone to scratches and misalignment, and the spray paint cannot be covered, causing customer complaints.

5. The hydraulic drive control has poor speed stability and slow feedback.

6. The hydraulic power station needs frequent maintenance, and the pipes and joints are prone to leakage and cause pollution.

Based on the above factors, the third generation of vertical equipment came into being at the beginning of the 21st century. The power source is controlled by a servo motor, which is fast and efficient. Extrusion molding replaces roll molding. There is no hydraulic control, which reduces pneumatic components. The use of energy saving and consumption reduction. It has the following advantages:

1. Extrusion molding, no scratches and rolls on the surface, high cleanliness.

2. Long mold life and low loss.

3. Motor driven, fast feedback speed, high stability, clean and tidy.

4. It can be used in the production of large barrels for pre-spraying and coated iron technology.

5. The whole line has a small area and low energy consumption.

6. Fast speed, up to 12 pieces per minute, easy to maintain and maintain.

7. High degree of intelligence, simple and easy to operate.

At present, more than 90% of the domestic barrel-making lines are still horizontal barrel-making equipment. In addition, the forming hydraulic power and the process are all rolling, which urgently needs to be updated.
